A New Home for Storks

While distributing energy for life; We carry out corporate social responsibility projects that make a difference. We continue to work on our "New Home for Storks" project, which we started in 2014.

We are aware of our responsibility in improving and sustaining the quality of life in the region where we operate. We continue to protect nature and natural life with our sustainable environmental understanding. We are happy and proud to have hosted storks for more than 8 years since 2014 with our corporate social responsibility project "New Home for Storks", which is an example for the entire sector as the first step of great awareness.

Every year, we carry out the technical maintenance of the special living platforms that we place before the migration season, we clean and inspect the storks' nests and carry out insulation work on the electricity distribution lines close to the nests. We shape our investment projects with precision in migratory routes and regions where storks are concentrated.

Together with our company employees, we check the nests before the migration season; We clean unnatural materials such as bags and ropes that could harm storks and their babies. We offer a safe and healthy living space to our guests after our technical teams check the private living platforms and insulation works.

Being aware that storks nest in the same spot every year, if special living platforms are installed on the electricity poles that remain idle and will be dismantled after the investment works, we preserve the current situation and preserve it only with the stork nest function.

Together with our stakeholders, we observe differences in the behavior and habits of storks due to global climate changes. Limited water resources on migration routes direct storks to different routes. For this reason, we are taking new action and installing new living platforms on our electricity poles for the storks that prefer new locations in our service area.
